Michigan man starts shaking after winning $313,197 from state lottery game

A man in Michigan was overjoyed to learn he won half of a $626,394 Fantasy 5 jackpot, which amounts to $313,197, courtesy of the Michigan Lottery.
The anonymous 40-year-old winner purchased the winning ticket at Kum & Go on Division Avenue South in Wyoming.
"I play Fantasy 5 regularly and check my tickets the morning after the drawing on the Michigan Lottery app," the player shared. "I scanned my ticket using the ticket scanner in the app and got a 'Not a Winner' message. I looked to see where the winning tickets were sold and saw one of them was sold at the store where I bought my tickets.
To his satisfaction, he realized that he had scanned the wrong ticket. The ticket that appeared as a non-winner was from the previous week. He then found the new ticket to see if it was a winner.
"I scanned the correct ticket and started shaking when the prize amount of $313,197 came up on the screen. It was so exciting," The 40-year-old man told the Michigan Lottery.
On Oct. 6, he won half the $626,394 Fantasy 5 jackpot by matching the winning numbers: 04-07-13-28-33. The lucky winner recently visited Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize.
According to the Michigan Lottery, he plans to use the money to pay bills, help family, and bolster savings.

What is Fantasy 5?
Fantasy 5 is a Michigan Lottery jackpot game that costs only $1 per play. You can add EZmatch to win up to $500 instantly or Double Play for a second chance to win up to $110,000. Select five numbers from 1 to 39. Match all five to win the jackpot of $100,000.
The 40-year-old man won half of the $626,394 jackpot because he wasn't the sole winner. It is unknown who else won.

The odds of matching all five numbers are 1: 575,757. The odds of matching four of the five numbers are 1: 3,387.
